Dominican American National Foundation, CDC.

The DANF is a 501(c)3 non profit organization based in the Allapattah community of South Florida. Prides itself by providing social services to low income families and individuals, and to immigrants that reside in this area. Among the free services and programs that we provide are: a very successful after-school program, Positive Youth and Families, our literacy program, Family Empowerment -our teens’ program, and summer camps for kids.

Overall, within all of its programs, DANF tries to instill a sense of structure into these children and teens’ lives that is often times missing at home. We try to expose them to positive individuals, opportunities and experiences.

Right now we have 53 kids in our afterschool program and we many more in waiting list. The kids truly LOVE our program. We help them with homework, give them snacks & they get Karate classes. Here they are safe and away from the streets.
